Samuel STEINKE

In Sibley County. • Biography. The name originally was Von Stein and the men were knights. For some unknown reason, it was changed to Steinke. His father was a sailor and owned his own vessel. Samuel, also was a sailor, owning his own vessel in "Adlich Floth in Kreise Tzarnikov, Provens Posen, Regirunrsbezirk, Branderg; Stadt, Preussen" Samuel married Albertina FRIEDEL in 1843. (Albertina FRIEDEL was born in 1818 and died in 1848 in Poland.) Samuel next married Anna Christine SCHNELL, daughter of SCHNELL and Unknown, in 1848. (Anna Christine SCHNELL was born on 15 Jan 1829 in Neuhofen, Netzekreis, Pomerania and died on 1 May 1866 in Gaylord, Sibley, Minnesota, USA.) |
